爸爸教我从实践中认知“嬗变”

今年寒假期间，我在一本课外书籍上看到“嬗变”这个词，就问爸爸是什么意思，他说，“嬗”是更替、变迁的意思，“嬗变”本意就是指昆虫形态上的重大变化，以后有机会再细讲吧！

新学期开学时，爸爸有一次把我送到学校门口，看到有卖蚕卵的，就说，蚕是一生中发生四次嬗变的昆虫之一，你愿意通过自己动手养蚕来了解什么叫“嬗变”吗？我心想，爸爸记性真好，对我提的问题还一直放在心上呢！我便认真地点了点头。于是爸爸花五角钱买回了一张上面有14个蚕卵的袋装纸。

在后来养蚕的几个星期里，爸爸教我仔细观察随着气温的升高和季节的变化，10多条象小蚂蚁一样的幼蚕先后从卵中孵化出来；爸爸带我去辨认桑树，采摘桑叶回来喂蚕；爸爸让我记下蚕从灰白色、0．1—0．2厘米长的小蚕，逐渐长大到5—8厘米长、半透明、很肥壮的大蚕全过程。这期间，尤其是在周围静悄悄时，我屏住呼吸，侧耳细听蚕吃桑叶“沙沙……”的声音，简直就象在欣赏最美妙的音乐。当蚕吐丝结茧躲在里面变成蛹后，爸爸还特地剪开一个蚕茧给我看蚕蛹的模样；当蚕蛹变成蚕蛾钻出蚕茧时，爸爸又指导我给它们配对、交配，直到几个雌蚕蛾分别产下那么多淡黄色的卵以后一个个死去。

During this period, especially when it was quiet around, I held my breath and listened to the silkworms eating mulberry leaves It's like listening to the best music. When the silkworms spin and cocoon inside and become pupae, my father specially cuts a cocoon to show me the appearance of the pupae; when the pupae become moths and drill out of the cocoon, my father also instructs me to pair and mate them until several female moths produce so many pale yellow eggs and die one by one.

爸爸望着我说：你通过这几周养蚕的实践，亲眼看到蚕的一生，经历了从蚕卵——蚕虫——蚕蛹——蚕蛾四次蜕皮和形态变化的全过程，这个过程就叫做“嬗变”。现在你对“嬗变”这个词应该弄懂了吧？我心服口服地回答：“我懂了！爸爸你这种让我从实践中增长知识的方法，真好！谢谢你！”
